Hello

My name is Lindsay Bores and I am a Nutritional Therapy Practitioner(NTP).  I have a little(big) obsession in finding alternative ways to health and want to see the ole bandaid approach go out the window.  What in the heck does an NTP do you say???...We are trained to do a deep dive and look way beneath the surface to figure out what's really going on and make a unique protocol for clients through nutrient dense diet, lifestyle and supplemental support.  There is no one size fits all approach,  two people struggling with let's say...pre-diabetes may not be for the same reason.  One underlying cause could be because of lack of sleep which raises cortisol and in turns raises blood sugar and the other could be from a highly refined diet.  There are many underlying reasons why and this is where I come in to determine and support the reason(or many reasons in some cases) for the symptoms you may be experiencing.  It is all bio-individual and tailored to your specific needs and meets you where you're at in whatever season of life  you are in.   Becoming an NTP has been extremely empowering to myself and my family and I cannot wait to pass that knowledge onto my clients to give them the tools to reclaim their own health.

My Story

Here's a little bit of the behind story of your future NTP.   I am a human being and have a husband and we have somehow raised two adventurous and independent adult girls and still going at it with a little boy who has crazy energy.  I am definitely an introvert and love to stay home most of the time but I really enjoy getting out and eating delicious food, going to concerts, and shredding with my husband on the MTB trails.   Maybe you're wondering how I became so obsessed with all this whole food as medicine stuff?...There was no "ahah" moment but I think the first memory was when I got poison ivy from head to toe and was basically bed ridden as a young kid.  My parents found some weird guy with jewel weed growing in his woods and to my surprise it cleared up my poison ivy and I thought wow...that was pretty magical.  As the years went on and I became an adult, my step-grandpa died and I was his favorite(of course) and I was looking through his closet and found a ouija board and a book that said "Food as Medicine".  I didn't touch the ouija board but I did start going through his book and it was just so intriguing to me that eating an array of natural foods can help battle disease.  That was back in about 2004 and have just been going at it since. I have had my share of set backs over the years with a few health issues and have changed, grown and adapted new food practices and will keep doing the same.  It's ever so changing and honestly can get quite confusing and overwhelming with that thing called the internet.  That's why I am so excited to start this new chapter and help steer my clients away from overwhelm and into balance and ease through simplicity on a foundational level.
